Effective 7/1, Dramatic Change To Experience Mod Calculation: How Will You Be Affected?
Texas, effective July 1, 2015, will adopt NCCI manual rules regarding experience modification factors and classification codes. This change will produce significant increases in experience modifiers for many Texas employers with moderate loss histories. Until recently, only the first $5,000 of each claim counted fully – everything over this was discounted. However, the "split point" will significantly increase to the first $15,500 of each claim.
