In the deluge of workplace harassment allegations over the past few years, the question often arises, “Why didn’t the victim report sooner?” Sadly, the answer to this question is often simple – the victim didn’t know how to make a report.

Both employees and employers are involved in the reporting process. According to the EEOC, every organization should have in place formalized, functional systems for reporting and investigating harassment, and for taking corrective actions against alleged perpetrators.
