In this seminar we will review OSHA’s focus for 2023 and provide employers with the necessary information on what to expect from OSHA over the next year, including recent:
- Increase to maximum penalties now exceeding $156,000 per violation
- Memo reminding OSHA Regional Administrators and Area Directors of their authority not to group violations; instead, cite separately to encourage employers to comply with OSH Act intent
- Endeavor by OSHA to issue more subpoenas for documents and testimony, and make more criminal referrals now than in recent memory
We will also explore topics to relating to OSHA’s National Emphasis Programs (NEP), inspection tactics, proposed rules, recordkeeping and reporting, and much more.
